Our beautiful beach really is a true fossicking beach, try your luck, you never know you might just find Ross' next golden "Roddy Nugget"... now that would be exciting. Or you may find some beautiful Pounamu, It does happen.

During the month of November you can also take part in the annual West Coast Blue Penguin count, just go for a quiet stroll just before dawn or at dusk ...... follow the footprints in the sand.

At all other times there are many Km of sand, smooth rocks and drift wood to inspire you to create the perfect campfire to while away the evening.

The view of the sea was up front and close and was spectacular

The weather was lousy, but the facilities and owners of the park were very friendly. The view of the sea was up front and close and was spectacular. It was great to sit in the reception with a cup of coffee, pet the cat Daisy, and have a great conversation with the owners while the Tasman Sea raged outside. I could have stayed a week
