THE coolest place I have ever stayed. Right on the beach. Made it in time for sunset viewing. The owners have thought of everything, and you can see the care that goes into this place. Listen to the waves as you drift asleep!.
Clean and comfortable pods. Sue and Andy were such gracious enthusiastic and helpful hosts. They were spot on with insisting we stay 1/2 hour longer on the beach to see the sunset and then the star display. The facilities catered to all of us who love the beach experience - bonfires, pizzas, lounging!
What a place..stunning spot, superb amenities and lovely helpful hosts..the beach is a revelation, so naturally beautiful and we even literally bumped into a seal idly wading his way out into the sea. Highly recommended to anyone in the area
Fabulous location. The containers are exactly as pictured and described. Extremely comfortable, cosy and very well equipped. We loved taking a bath outside under the stars and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. The plots are very generous - plenty of space for everyone. Great beach for a long walk in the morning. A good place to stop and break the journey on route down the West coast. Can highly recommend! Thanks for a memorable experience :-)There is nothing to dislike. Everything to our liking.
Gorgeous beach-front stay. The location was absolutely beautiful - right on the beach front! I loved the concept of the stay being in a converted shipping container which was compact but just what we needed. there was a lovely deck area with a bbq and seating area which we both made use of!
My husband and I stayed here during our cycle trail tour in March. It was great! We loved it. Sue and Andy are great hosts. They were more than happy to take us down to the pub and pick us up. This was greatly appreciated when we ate far too much! The pods were cute, we enjoyed the tiny living experience. The beach is at your door step so the waves are nice to listen to at night. Overall great experience. Would highly recommend.
We loved the location and setting being right on the beach, we enjoyed the evenings watching the sunsets. For New Years eve others from the camp gathered on the beach we lit fires, toasted marshmellows and saw the NY in with fireworks, great end to 2022
Absolutely fell in love with this property. we stayed in a container which had everything we needed. Loved the beach, loved the whole place. will definitely be back for longer.
Beautiful Ross campsite next to the beachWe stayed here over 3 nights. A beautiful well run camp ground with very good facilities. Beach is right there, hearing the waves and seeing the amazing sunsets us so beautiful. Night times consisted of bonfire, toasted marshmallows with a wine watching the sun go down. We stayed in a powered site but beautiful containercabins in which are all very private. The Top10 is close to all things in Hokitika and surrounding areas, would highly recommend staying here
